A web page titled, "Early Settlers from the Island of Pico to Hawaii Before 1879," compiled by Melody Lassalle, lists our ancestor, "Antone Viera," as having owned Beehive Saloon. Her sources are from the Hawaii Council on Portuguese Heritage from 1995, and the Maui Portuguese Cultural Club from 1993. Maybe they have more information about the Beehive Saloon? If you have further information about the Beehive Saloon, feel free to contact us. Mahalo to Piliwale Kailihiwa (descendant of John Marciel, one of the five branches of our family tree) for finding this webpage.
